Privacy
We collect as little as the store needs to send and resend your registration codes, and nothing on the site tracks you.

Who we are
Barkhausen Labs is a brand of RedBrick Software, Inc., which is responsible for the information described here. Write to us at hello@barkhausenlabs.com about anything on this page.
Visiting the site
The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. Its fonts and images are served from our own domain, so a visit makes no requests to anyone else. The site is hosted on Amazon Web Services, which handles your IP address in order to deliver the pages; we do not keep access logs of visits.
The store’s forms and buttons (checkout, resend, upgrade and the mailing list signup) count requests per IP address and per email address to stop abuse. Those counters expire on their own within a few days.
Buying
Checkout is run by Link, Stripe’s checkout, which sells on our behalf as the merchant of record. Link collects your payment details, name, email and billing address, works out any tax, and sends your receipt. Your card details never reach us. Link’s own privacy policy covers what it collects.
From the checkout we receive your name, your email address, what you bought and the Stripe references for the payment. We keep them in an order record so that we can:
- make your registration code, which carries your name (never your email address);
- email your codes, and send them again when you ask;
- work out your credit when you upgrade to the bundle, and record refunds.
Codes, upgrade links and resend requests are emailed through Amazon Web Services’ email service. An upgrade link works once, for 30 minutes, and we store only a scrambled form of it.
The plugins
The plugins never contact us or anyone else. A registration code is checked on your own computer, and nothing is sent anywhere.
The mailing list
The list is run by Kit and is opt-in: you are added only if you enter your address in the form and then confirm it from the email Kit sends. The form hands your address to Kit through our store’s server, which does not keep your address. To stop repeat signups, the server briefly keeps a one-way scrambled form of it, which expires on its own. Every message has an unsubscribe link. We use the list only to tell you about new plugins and news from Barkhausen Labs.
Who processes your information
- Amazon Web Services: hosting, the order records, and the email that carries your codes.
- Stripe, through Link: payment, tax and receipts, as the merchant of record.
- Kit: the mailing list, if you join it.
We do not sell or share your information with anyone else.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as you may need your codes resent, unless you ask us to delete them. Our database keeps backups for up to 35 days. Error logs from the store never contain email addresses or codes, and are kept for 90 days.
Deleting your information
Write to hello@barkhausenlabs.com from the address you bought with and we will delete your order records. The codes you already have keep working, but we will no longer be able to resend them or count them toward an upgrade. To have Link delete what it holds, ask Link or Stripe directly.
If you are in the EU or UK (GDPR)
RedBrick Software, Inc. is the controller of the information described here. We use your order details to deliver what you bought, and your mailing-list address only because you asked to join.
You have the right to see the information we hold about you, to have it corrected, and to have it deleted. You can also object to how we use it, or ask for a copy to take elsewhere. If you think we have got something wrong, you may complain to your data protection authority, though we would like the chance to put it right first.
If you are in California (CCPA)
You have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, and to have it deleted, and we will not treat you any differently for asking. We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising.
How to ask
Write to hello@barkhausenlabs.com from the address you bought with (or joined the list with), and say what you would like. We answer within a month.
